a smile
Every good story has a good beginning. Ours has this beautiful little face.
See, that little dog smiling at you is Chewie. Or Chui, if you prefer.
That’s her real name. But, as happens in every home where humans and
non-human companions live and love together, we also called her “perrita”,
to tell her apart from Solo, our brave and spirited malamute.
From “perrita” we moved to “Lola.”
From “Lola” to “Lolita.”
And from “Lolita” to Lolita Perrins, the chattiest little dog in the whole Universe —and beyond.
Because she embodied everything we wanted Lolita Perrins to be.
A love for details, curiosity, respect, and loyalty.
Chewie, also known as Lolita Perrins, passed away in 2020, and her absence left us heartbroken —right in the middle of a pandemic.
But we weren’t alone: Willow, the bravest little dog the world has ever seen, was home with us.
Later came Suru, the most intense and affectionate of them all… though that’s a story for another day.
What we wanted to tell you is that in 2023, while thinking about how we could make the world a better place, we decided to create this small publishing project —and give it the loving name we used for Chewie.

from Ricard and Eva. In other words, from us.
Today, every book we publish carries a little bit of her joy — and a whole lot of her zest for life.
